Hollywood Sign Hike, Los Angeles

Hollywood Sign Hike, Los Angeles

A monumental landmark in Los Angeles is the Hollywood Sign!

Los Angeles has many hikes and trails an another famous hike is the Hollywood Sign hike. This trail takes about 4 hours and leads you all the way to the back of the Hollywood sign.

Put this address in your Uber to arrive at the base of the hike: 3200 Canyon Dr, Los Angeles, CA, 90068, USA. If you are driving be sure to get there early since there is limited parking. We took an uber to and from but be cautious that there is no cell phone service once you start your climb.

Runyon Canyon, Los Angeles

Runyon Canyon, Los Angeles

Part of the beauty of Los Angeles is the weather & the ability to spend so much time outside. Runyon Canyon is a very popular hot spot where locals and visitors alike hike up the canyon for exercise & beautiful views. Runyon Canyon is located in Hollywood Hills and is about a 20 minute uber from West Hollywood. The hike itself is dog friendly and many people bring their dogs with them unleashed.

There is a trail that takes about an hour. There is no correct way to do the hike, you could either hike up a windy long drive way liked paved pathway or do the hike up the steep dirt and rocky path. The trail is a big loop. Typically we like to walk up the paved path and then hike down the dirt road but we have done both directions.

Nice, France

Nice, France

Hello Nice, Hello World!

Nice is a town in the south of France. It is about a 7 – 9 hour flight from NYC and luckily delta flies direct! The town itself is a port town built on the water with beautiful views and beaches.

The main tourist part of the city is the old city. Within the old city is a square with a church and a castle up on a hill. The castle offers a fun hike from the beach all the way to the top of the castle to a secret waterfall. If you are looking to explore the old city for about 4 I would recommend the hike and then lunch in the old city.

Jean Cap Du Ferrat, France

Jean Cap Du Ferrat, France

I traveled to Jean Cap Du Ferrat for a magnificent wedding weekend that took place a the Four Seasons. I flew Delta direct from JFK to Nice, which made the travel very easy.

The town itself is very quaint and is a peninsula surrounded by water. On the tip if the peninsula is the Jean Cap Du Ferrat Four Seasons. The south of France is a very popular destination for mega yachts so it was amazing seeing them in the Mediterranean sea as well as the different sale boat regattas. The town itself is a port town and there is a beautiful 2-mile promenade from the base of Royal Riviera to the port.

Fashionably Full's Guide to Northern Italy: Milan, Verona, Bergamo & Stresa

Italy is a special place for me. My maternal Grandfather was born in Sicily and immigrated to the United States when he was 3 years old. I am extremely proud to be an Italian and love everything about the culture and the country. Every year my family and I visit a new part of Italy. I love seeing the different parts of the Country and meeting the friendliest people while indulging in the most delicious food.

It is no secret that I love pasta, so every time I spend a week in Italy it is a huge treat for me. I spent my days enjoying my time with my family, exploring a new part of Northern Italy, taking in all the culture and choosing between which Gelato flavors I was going to eat that day.

This trip we drove around Northern Italy to Milan, Verona, Bergamo & Stresa.

Fashionably Full's Guide to Cartagena Colombia

Cartagena March 2019

I traveled to Cartagena to celebrate my BFF Veronica @Veronica.Victoriaa ‘s 30thbirthday! She planned a great girls trip with 3 of her best friends centered around exploring a new city and lots of delicious seafood.  The old city was a colorful and lively city built within the historic remains of the walls that surrounded and guarded it.  Cartagena played a major part in Colombia’s history protecting the country from invasions due to the large walls that encompassed its old city.

This January my BFF & I traveled to Europe and explored Amsterdam! We both have been before but this was a different type of trip than the first time I went to visit. I first went when I was studying abroad in London for a semester in college. This trip was amazing since it was relaxed, and explored almost like we were locals!

Viva Las Vegas x Fashionably Full

Viva Las Vegas x Fashionably Full

Las Vegas

For my West Coast blogger trip, Veronica and I flew round trip into Las Vegas and decided to split our time into two nights in Vegas on the days of our flights. On Wednesday night we stayed at the Cosmopolitan, which is located right in the heart of the strip. The Cosmopolitan is my favorite hotel in Vegas since it is the newest. We were on the 55thfloor and had a view of the strip. The hotel had a fun casino and great restaurants as well as a great pool which we laid out to catch some sun.

We drove 5 hours to Page, Arizona, to explore the canyons from Thursday – Saturday and then drove back to Vegas for Saturday night.

Saturday night we stayed at the Aria, which is right next to the Cosmo. I did not love this hotel. It felt much bigger and a bit more of a mixed bag crowd. The casino was huge and the pool area was also much bigger. We had dinner at Jean Gorge Steakhouse, which was amazing, and I highly recommend eating there if you want a filling meal. One of the aspect of the hotel that I did not care for was the room. It felt very old with a gross feel to the bed.

In Las Vegas we ate at the Rose Rabbit Lie  at the Cosmopolitan for dinner which was a very lively restaurant with a live jazz performance during dinner. The food was very good here too I ordered shrimp scampi and we started with brussel sprouts.

We also ate at Jean George Steakhouse at Aria, which was delicious. I had a 6 once fillet minion perfectly cooked and we ordered sides of truffled mac and cheese and crispy potatoes

Fashionably Full x Page Arizona

Fashionably Full x Page Arizona

I am obsessed with the scenery that Page Arizona has to offer.  The town itself was a one road type of town and it was great for the two nights we were there and that would be it . We stayed at the Hyatt Place, which I really recommend. The rooms were big & clean and it was at a central location to the different restaurants and then the sites. Breakfast was included in the hotel stay but we went to Safeway and got some fruit and yogurt for our room and to munch on.

Page Arizona is very special as it has over 96 natural canyons that you can explore. Most of these canyons are on the Indian reserve and are not open to the public but the ones that are open are breathtaking.  Since these sites are located on Navajo land you will need to visit through a tour company and they book up so definitely do some research in advance to reserve your desired time!

We went to Lower Antelope Canyon, Slot Canyon & Horseshoe bend as well as a boat tour through Antelope Canyon on Lake Powell.

Trip to Cape Cod

Trip to Cape Cod

Cape Cod:

For the 4th of July weekend part 2 I traveled to Cape Cod, Massachusetts. This was my first trip to the cape and I absolutely loved it! I stayed with at my BFFs family’s house, which was very relaxing and had such amazing views from every room. The town of Hyannis, Massachusetts reminded me of the Hamptons. It was very quaint with local stores and of course ice cream shops.  We made two trips to Four Seas ice cream shop and I tried the famous pink mint chip flavor, surprisingly so refreshing and tasted amazing.

Since I am a huge lobster lover we checked out Tug Boat for lunch and I highly recommend eating there! The lobster rolls were so fresh and had a lot of meat to it. We also ordered the cape cod’s famous onion ring tower. (this weekend was definitely a cheat weekend!)

Napa Valley:

Solage:
We stayed at the beautiful Solage Auberge Hotel which was an amazing resort featuring all individual studios, which felt like little villas, a spa, pool and fantastic farm to table restaurant. The hotel also partners with Mercedes Benz and offers complimentary cars that the hotel guests can use to drive around the town ((which we fully took advantage of!)). Veronica and I stayed in studio 50 which was a gorgeous two queen bed studio featuring a bathtub and beautiful backyard space. With studio came two bikes, which we also utilized and had so much fun with! The resort was in the most perfect location biking distance to vineyards and town.

Trip to San Francisco

I was lucky to be part of my BFF's (@in_loveandlace) collaboration with Shopstyle x Napa weekend getaway! She invited me as her plus +1 and let me say – we had the best girls weekend!!
We started the trip with an early morning flight from JFK to San Francisco by partnering with Alaska Air, which was perfect, since we had the entire day once we landed.

We maximized our trip on the west coast and stayed at the W hotel on 3rd street for a blissful night! ((see what I did there? Bliss partners with the W hotel chain providing all of the spa products, which are one of my personal favorites)) This was my first time in San Fran and there was so much to do and see.

We hit all the sites and had a very productive day. Our first stop was the Golden Gate Bridge! We stopped at  Crissy Field, which has the best view of the bridge, and we walked along the water and snapped some great photos.

How to pack for a vacation full of sightseeing & food!

I had the opportunity to travel to Italy which I knew would be filled with a lot of adventure, fashion & food. Packing for long trips is not so easy for me as I always tend to overpack but this time I was pretty good and wore about 85% of what I brought! ((and I am still on the trip so there is hope that I packed perfectly))

When packing for a long trip I first think about what shoes I am going to need and then think about how I am going to fit it all in my suitcase.

For a trip of both exploring and enjoying I always pack a pair of white sneakers and wear a pair of nikes on the flight. I love being comfortable and know that I will be doing so much walking so staying comfortable for me is key.

I also pack a pair of black sweatpants to wear during car rides and breakfast and a few pair of jeans in different cuts. Layering & mix and matching is key when traveling so I always pack a few tank tops that can be tucked into jeans, a long sleeved white tee and a black short sleeve tee. I love how white sneakers work with both dark and light washed jeans making them extremely versatile and easy to wear. I also always pack sweater options, a comfortable cashmere duster and then layering shirts for those colder days.

Lastly I pack a few wow pieces, dresses for the dinners and a pair of black booties as well as a leather jacket and another fun piece of outerwear incase it gets chilly.

Nightlife in Miami

Nightlife in Miami

Our nightlife activities this weekend was a bit different than our previous trips. We tried new hot sports and had a more activity focused trip.

The first night we arrived in Miami we had the most amazing & delicious dinner at Byblos Following dinner we went out to the coolest bar and lounge,  Sweet Liberty.  This was my first time at both places and I was obsessed with dinner and absolutely loved the vibe at the bar. The décor at the bar was very millennial focused featuring a neon sign that read “Pursue Happiness” in hot pink, exciting wall paper of different lips and a very kitschy drink menu with one of the most popular cocktails, the “basic bitch”. After the bar we walked down the street to Ora Nightclub.

Our second night, Friday, we ate dinner at Cecconis at Soho House and it was another delicious meal. (I need to preface this with two hours before dinner I ate Nobu in the hotel lobby, so I was not as hungry as I usually am). My BFF whom I traveled with just became a member of Soho House so we went to check out the club after dinner. I am obsessed with how cool and cute the club was also I must note there was a major celeb siting which made the night the even more exciting.  After our drink at Soho House we walked across the street for a late night of clubbing – First at LIV and then to a more private club, Anti Social Club.

Our Last night we had dinner at Giannis and then went bowling! After the previous two nights of late night clubbing it was nice to have a more relaxed night of bowling – or that is what we thought. Bowling was very cool and took place at the basement of the edition hotel so it was a great vibe with lots of other things to do down there. The night did not end there, since we went back to LIV and then a nightcap at Soho House.

Steps to Protect Your Skin when Packing for a Warm Weather Trip!

Packing for a warm weather weekend vacation sounds easy but for me it is always a struggle! I am an over packer since I love to have multiple options and be prepared for colder weather ((I always find myself over packing in the sweatpant & tee-shirt department). One thing I do take very seriously on vacation is my skincare routine.

For my most recent trip I wanted to make sure I packed enough sunscreen and moisturizer to last the entire weekend.  My skin is one that tans very easily but I still want to protect it from any long term sun damage.

I start each morning applying Neutrogena face, oil free, sunscreen and then apply a sports spray sunscreen to the rest of my body.  I pack a hat and sunglasses as well as a long sleeve white shirt to wear if I start to burn. My secret weapon that I bring with me on every warm weather vacation is lip sunscreen in two forms – the first a chap stick and the second is in zinc.  My lips use to always burn on vacation but now that I apply zinc when I get to the sun they are completely protected

Lastly I need to stay hydrated by ordering a fresh coconut or by drinking a lot of water when spending the day outside!

TRIP TO MIAMI

I was lucky to get to travel to LA with one of my best friends and it felt like we never left. I love laying out and relaxing by the beach. Of course I always wear sunscreen but I love coming back with a healthy glow. Miami is also my vibe, I love the action and energy there. We stayed at the shore club in an ocean front large room which was very clean and spacious.

FOOD:

Komodo: David Grutman’s new restaurant which was amazing. The food and the people were great and I definitely recommend. My favorite thing was the blue crab lo mein and the duck lettuce wraps.

Casa Tua: good food but the waiters are RUDE so I do not recommend. I did eat truffle spaghetti but I hate rude service especially when I am paying for an expensive meal

Katsuya: Chicken salad is life here. I come here every time I am in Miami and it never fails to disappoint

Shore Club Hotel: Great food by the pool and friendly staff
