Trip to San Francisco

Trip to San Francisco

I was lucky to be part of my BFF's (@in_loveandlace) collaboration with Shopstyle x Napa weekend getaway! She invited me as her plus +1 and let me say – we had the best girls weekend!!
We started the trip with an early morning flight from JFK to San Francisco by partnering with Alaska Air, which was perfect, since we had the entire day once we landed.

We maximized our trip on the west coast and stayed at the W hotel on 3rd street for a blissful night! ((see what I did there? Bliss partners with the W hotel chain providing all of the spa products, which are one of my personal favorites)) This was my first time in San Fran and there was so much to do and see.

We hit all the sites and had a very productive day. Our first stop was the Golden Gate Bridge! We stopped at  Crissy Field, which has the best view of the bridge, and we walked along the water and snapped some great photos.

Next we took an uber to the famous twisty-turvey street, Lombard Street. This street was serpentine and had the most beautiful gardening all around it. San Fran is very hilly so we were able to have great views of the city from here.

Next, we decided it was time for lunch! Considering the change in time zones, at this point we were ready for dinner. Since it was pretty late in the day we wanted to check out Fisherman’s Warf and grab lunch around there. We walked around the pier and found a market area that felt very similar to Chelsea market. We ate outside at Gotts, and we made up for the fact that we missed a meal. We went fried food crazy and had yummy onion rings, French fries & sweet potato fries and to complement the carbs got salads. All about balance here! At this point it was about 4 pm and we were stuffed!!

With still so much we wanted to see we took another uber to the Painted Ladies street which is the famous street where they filmed full house. In order to get the best pictures we stood in Alamo Square, which is directly across from all of the houses. This park was also so cute and extremely lively

Lastly we ubered to the Union Square shopping area to check out some stores and took a quick 10 minute walk back to our hotel to freshen up

After we relaxed in our hotel and caught up with one of our friends who lives in San Fran we decided to bypass dinner and go straight to dessert. Veronica and I figured out that our favorite ice cream shop has a few locations in San Fran and we knew it would not be a trip to California without some! We made our way over to Salt and Straw ((and waited on a semi long line)) but were both so happy and ordered two scoops to go! Of course, I got my favorite Black Olive Brittle & Goat Cheese and a scoop of Salted, Malted, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough.

After ice cream we were both so tired and were basically up for what felt like a full 24 hours, we called it a night since we had a busy and exciting day AHEAD!!

We started our day at Mr. Homes baked shop and both “got baked in San Francisco”  by purchasing some of their famous cannabis free pastries and got on the road to Napa Valley
