Distressed Denim for anything but Distress

Distressed Denim for anything but Distress

I am definitely a jeans girl! I have a collection of different shades of blue and different fits. Since I am only 5'4" and a bit curvy I tend to gravitate towards the low rise and skinny fit as they fit my body type the best. Since I have a collection of the same when I went to the Zara sale I could not resist buying a pair of high rise and slightly looser fitting jean. This pair has become my go to for styling with a cool T-shirt tucked in as the the waitband of the jeans hit my waist in a very flattering effect. I often shy away from those looser fitting jeans but when I do wear them (they are so comfortable) I tend to style them with a tighter fitting shirt I order to five my figure some sort of shape. The looser and high waisted jean trend is also flattering on most body types! It is all about how you style the jeans, you can wear a tucked in tank or a cropped top or accessories with a jacket and heels to add some height to the look.

East Coast Edge x West Coast Cool

East Coast Edge x West Coast Cool

What to wear when its cold but summer?

My go to is always layering a leather jacket with distressed denim jeans. While on my travels in Napa the weather would drop at night and I always had to keep my leather jacket handy for when I got cold. Since I was someplace warm ((and on the west coast)) I wanted to blend my east coast edge with a west coast chill look and I paired my boyfriend ripped jeans, which have a bit of a dramatic distress at the knees, with a tight black tank top tucked in and some black booties.
I also love how a tucked in tank top looks with high waisted jeans – it gives the illusion of a body suit and creates a clean and slimming look!

Black & Bright Blue

Black & Bright blue are a winning duo in my book! I love how they pair together. There is nothing easier than blue skinny jeans and a black blouse, sweater or leather jacket. This effortless look is also perfect for any budget! Some of my favorite jeans are from H&M and Zara as well as those designer label jeans such as Citizens for Humanity and Rag and Bone.
