Napa X Solage X @in_loveandlace

Napa Valley:

Solage:
We stayed at the beautiful Solage Auberge Hotel which was an amazing resort featuring all individual studios, which felt like little villas, a spa, pool and fantastic farm to table restaurant. The hotel also partners with Mercedes Benz and offers complimentary cars that the hotel guests can use to drive around the town ((which we fully took advantage of!)). Veronica and I stayed in studio 50 which was a gorgeous two queen bed studio featuring a bathtub and beautiful backyard space. With studio came two bikes, which we also utilized and had so much fun with! The resort was in the most perfect location biking distance to vineyards and town.

Pool Party:
Veronica & I hosted a pool party celebrating the Kentucky derby and cinco de mayo. The pool was in a central location of the resort and featured an Olympic sized heated lap pool. Solage set us up with our own Cabana featuring a bottle of delicious Napa wine and some pop. We also ordered yummy fish tacos and some chips and quac in the spirit of Cinco De Mayo. The resort went all out with the festivities featuring a DJ and lots of holiday appropriate floats. They even had a horse race in the pool featuring inflatable pool floats which Veronica and I competed against one another to see who could get to the other end of the pool the fasted. She may have one but I managed to stay on the float the entire time, which was the real prize.

Transportation:
We rented a car at the airport in San Fran and drove it to the W and then from San Fran to Napa which was a little less than two hours. We took ubers all throughout San Fran since our car was parked but we did drive while in Napa. While on the resort we used the Mercedes convertible to drive around getting a tour of the town and then used our bikes to get to the vineyard so that we could both enjoy ourselves and our wine and not have to worry about driving

Food:
We ate delicious farm to table food at the Sol Bar, conveniently located in our Hotel. The dinner we enjoyed was light and perfecrly prepared we both shared gnocchi to start and then each ordered a different fish. While in Napa I also decided to do a wine flight with the meal and I am very happy I did!
We also had breakfast in town at a local diner enjoying eggs and bacon. Our last dinner was also in town a short drive away featuring more farm to table recipes and the yummiest grilled artichokes.

Wine Tasting:
We only ventured to one vineyard during our stay but it was an adventure! We took the bikes out, about 15 – 20 mins, and made our way to Sterlings Vineyard to enjoy the scenic view and fresh wine. You had to take a gondola up to the top of the mountain where the vineyard was located which is definitely part of the appeal. We then participated in a walking tour and sipped on four different wines all very enjoyable.
