TRIP TO LA

I was lucky to get to travel to LA with one of my best friends Veronica from @in_loveandlace and we had the absolute best time filled with amazing stories, great food, and a lot of shopping! Read below a guide of some of my favorite activities and restaurants!

Activities:

Broad Museum - in downtown LA they have an amazing collection of all work highlighting Takashi Murakami, Jeff Koons, Roy Lichtenstein and other amazing artists! One of the special exhibits they have there is the Yayo Kusami’s infinity hall of mirrors. Every time I visit the museum I sign up to enter this room for the 30 seconds I like to take some cute photos (obviously) but also just stop to enjoy the flickering lights and just breathe for a few seconds. It's so nice to take a few seconds to just disconnect and enjoy the experiences around you. This is a definite must and its free!

LACMA – this museum was walking distance from our hotel and to our surprise there was an outdoor jazz concert in front of the iconic light posts! It was not only beautiful but an amazing experience and I was loving it. People brought out their lounge chairs and wine and enjoyed an evening listening to relaxing music.

Runyon – I panted up the first half but got into the groove, made me realize how out of shape I am but will be motivation to work hard when I'm back home. This outdoor trail is impressively hard but once you make it to the top you can see all of LA, the view is definitely worth it

Hollywood Walk of Fame – This is a huge tourist attraction. Not a must on my list but if you are new to LA its worth stopping by.

Shopping!! Hello Rodeo Drive such great spots here!!

Vanderpump dogs! This was walking distance from Jones on Third and was the cutest spot. For anyone in the LA area looking to adopt a cute and lovable dog please check it out!

Bungalow – a fun day party in Santa Monica I also love coming here as they have outdoor ping pong and it is a fun vibe. It reminds me on Montauk

Food:

Jones on Third- For those New Yorkers reading this is LAs version of a Dean and Deluca type market with casual seating outside which is a great people watching spot. My favorite to order is the Chinese chicken salad but they have a gourmet menus of prepared foods to suit everyone's taste buds

Nobu – amazing amazing amazing sushi and fantastic location in Malibu right on the beach. This is a must and I try to make it here every time I visit LA

Gjelina – also very good for dinner had a cute outdoor seating section and delicious menu. Everything here felt farm to table and the food was very satisfying. Please note that they only serve wine and beer, so prep in advance if you are looking for more of a wild night.

Matcha Box – A cool little matcha spot. I ordered a matcha lemonade with mint and it was amazing and refreshing, the drink even came with a piece of heaven, a small chocolate cube. Safe to say I visited this Matcha shop more than once.

Cabana CafΓ© at the Beverly Hills hotel - We are ladies who lunch in LA and went to the to enjoy an amazing and girly lunch. I ordered the club sandwich, which was delicious and huge! (But if you know me I'm a proud member of the clean plate club) and enjoyed every last bite! It also came with yummy crispy fries which is always a treat we leisurely enjoyed our afternoon

Gracias Madre - A one of a kind Vegan Mexican restaurant. I love Mexican food and have been here before and really enjoyed it so wanted to visit I again. I highly recommend!

Alfred Coffee – a geat spot right by Rodeo drive perfect for a little mid shopping caffeine. For those tea lovers like me I ordered a Peach Blossom iced tea.

In-n-Out – For those who have never been it has to be on your bucket list. We went for a burger breakfast before we left for the airport and although I am not a burger lover I ate this one!

Nice Guy – let me tell you, huge disappointment here. The hostess was very rude and I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone

Salt & Staw – the best ice-cream in LA. Every flavor was interesting and something new. The staff was beyond friendly and let you sample as many flavors as you wanted. I ordered two scoops, one sweet and one savory and I wish I had ordered more it was that good.
